AZ Time
Interactive exercises for actors with disabilities. The actors use of the voice and imagination are highlighted. Fun is the focus during these sessions. Chat is an option for those who learn or communicate best in that format.
*Laughing Pig Theatre believes that every class should be a safe space for students of all abilities. We understand that some students may prefer an experience catered explicitly to their needs.
Meet the Teaching Artist:
Connie Galeener (she/her) has been an actress since 1983. She has worked in both traditional and nontraditional performance styles and venues. Connie taught in elementary school via programs produced locally and sent via satellite into classrooms across the US. Since 2016 Connie has been teaching theater full time with adults with developmental disabilities. There she has written and produce several plays, a talent show, a film festival and has created costumes, sets and props with her students. Teaching on Zoom is a daily part of her work. Connie is currently producing a digital theatrical production which includes over 50 students live and a dozen students on Zoom.
