AZ Time
Inspired by Lecoq, a well-known physical theatre teacher and actor, we will explore how to create characters through movement by exploring the four natural elements – air, earth, water and fire – paying attention to the element's weight, tempo and rhythm to create characters.
Meet the Teaching Artist:
Sarah Tan (she/her) is a artist educator and professional born and raised in Singapore. She has a BA in Theatre Arts and concentration in Education Studies from Carleton College, and recently graduated from Arizona State University with her MFA in Theatre for Youth and Community. As a scholar practitioner, Sarah has chosen to focus on the intersection of social media and creativity in the form of performance, specifically with young people.
